Dorell Wright

Dorell Lawrence Wright ( born December 2, 1985 in Los Angeles, California) is an American professional basketball player.

Directly coming from high school to Dorell Wright filed for no college year for the NBA Draft 2004. There he was selected by the Miami Heat in the first round to 19th place. His early years in the NBA was difficult. In his first season he came in only three games in a modest 27 minutes total playing time. His situation improved in the second season only a little. In the playoffs, in which the Miami Heat won the title, he was not used. In the season 2006/ 07 he first got more playing time. In 66 games, he ran for an average of 19.6 minutes and scored 6 points 4.1 rebounds per game. The following season, he could improve his stats with 7.9 points at 5 rebounds, until he missed the rest of the season with a torn meniscus in early March and due to the injury in the next game time came just six short sessions. In his last season for Miami, he was able to continue with an average of 7.1 points in 72 games back at the achievements before his injury. As part of the changes to LeBron James and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat Wright joined the 2010/11 season as a free agent with the Golden State Warriors. There he had his until then by far the best season. He stood in all 82 games and was in the starting lineup with an average of 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, the third- best shooter of the Warriors. With 194 three-point throws sunk in 516 attempts, he led the statistics in both categories. Wright finished third in the poll for Most Improved Player.

After another season with the Warriors Wright was transferred to the summer 2012 from the Warriors to the Philadelphia 76ers. In the trade, the New Orleans Hornets were involved in addition to the Warriors and the 76ers still, who sent guard Jarrett Jack to the Warriors.
