Dorian Le Gallienne

Dorian Le Gallienne Marlois Leon ( born April 19, 1915 in Melbourne, † July 27, 1963 ) was an Australian composer.

Dorian Le Gallienne studied at the University of Melbourne and since 1938 at the Royal College of Music with Herbert Howells and Arthur Benjamin. After 1945 he worked in Melbourne as a teacher at the conservatory, sound engineer of the Australian broadcasting and music critic.

He composed two symphonies, a symphonic study, two ballets, chamber music, piano pieces, Psalms for chorus and orchestra and songs.
