Doris Egan
Doris Egan ( born 1955 ) is an American science fiction and screenwriter.
Life
Egan writes since 1998 screenplays for television series and works since 2001 as a producer. She grew up in New Jersey and lives in Los Angeles.
Work
The lead actress of the Ivory - cycle science fiction novels is Theodora of Pyrene the planet. In the first novel, The Elfenbeintor Theodora stranded on the Oriental Ivory planet where magic works. She learns Ran know, a magician from a wealthy family, whom she later marries. Theodora experienced a power struggle with in Rans family.
In the second novel Shabby hero decides to move Ran and Theodora in the province. They are hostages of a band of robbers, it develops a Robin Hood story.
In the third novel The verdict clarify the two a murder in the highest aristocratic circles.
The novels were published in 1989 in Daw Science Fiction in English with the titles of The Gate of Ivory, Two- bit Heroes and Guilt- edged Ivory. The German edition was published by Heyne Verlag.
Doris Egan wrote under the name of Jane Emerson 's books City of Diamond ( 1996) and City of Opal. From City of Opal, only the first chapter has been published until now.
