Doris Hart

Doris Jane Hart ( born June 20, 1925 in St. Louis, United States) is a former American tennis player. In addition to Margaret Smith Court and Martina Navratilova is hard one of three players who won any Grand Slam titles in singles, doubles and mixed doubles at least once.

Her first Grand Slam title she won at the Australian Open in 1949. 1950 and 1952 she won the women's singles at the French Open in 1951 she won at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open in 1954 and they triumphed in 1955.

In doubles, she had more success and won, mostly with Shirley Fry, at Wimbledon four times (1947, 1951, 1952, 1953), at the French Championships in 1948 and 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953 and at the U.S. Championships in 1951, 1952, 1953 and 1954. In Australia, she won "only" 1950.

In Mixed it was very successful and won with Frank Sedgman and Vic Seixas total of 11 titles at Grand Slam tournaments.

In 1956, she ended her career. With 34 Grand Slam titles, it is the most successful players of tennis.
