Dorje Pakmo
Samding Phagmo Dorje ( Tib. bsam rdo rje phag mo sdings ) is the title of a major Trülku line of Bodong tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The makers of this title, the abbesses of the monastery Samding in central Tibet. The respective Samding Dorje Phagmo is traditionally viewed as an emanation of the Dakini Dorje Phagmo. The line of Samding Dorje Phagmos began in the 15th century with later became a nun Princess of Gungthang Drönme Chokyi ( 1422-1455 ).
The 12th Samding Dorje Phagmo fled to India in 1959, but returned due to climatic conditions back to Tibet. She is Vice - Chairman of the Committee Tibetan Autonomous Regional People's Congress or the regional parliament.
