Dorking is a domestic chicken breed that can be traced back to the Roman times. The old cultivar, which has long been especially bred in the UK, has become rare.

Dorking have a body shape that corresponds to a long-drawn rectangle. Similar to the German salmon chicken toes have also Dorkings five instead of four. The breed has its focus in the fattening ability. Unlike most domestic chicken breeds they therefore not one of the dual-purpose breeds.
