Dorothy Janis
Dorothy Janis ( born February 19, 1910 in Dallas, Texas; † 10 March 2010, Phoenix, Arizona) was an American silent film actress.
Career
Their short film career began in 1927 when she visited her cousin who was doing a film for Fox. She fell to her by her good looks and was asked to do a screen test. Janis turned in the following years, five films, four of them silent films. Particularly well known it was on the side of Ramon Novarro in The Pagan (1929 ), which was filmed in French Polynesia. 1930, after her only sound film, the unsuccessful Lummox, she ended her career and married musician Wayne King. With him she was married 53 years, until his death in 1985.
Last Janis lived in Paradise Valley, Arizona. There she died on 10 March 2010 at the age of 100 years.
