Dorris Bowdon

Dorris Bowdon (* December 27, 1914 in Coldwater, Mississippi, USA; † August 9, 2005 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress.

Dorris Bowdon was discovered by a scout from 20th Century Fox as an actress after she had won the prize of Miss Memphis 1937. In Hollywood, she met Nunnally Johnson, with whom she was married from 1939 until his death in 1977 and had three children.

She was 1938-1943 in the films Always Goodbye, Down on the Farm, Young Mr. Lincoln, Drums Along the Mohawk, The Grapes of Wrath, Jennie and The Moon is Down with.

She finished her career with the birth of her first child in 1943.
