Dorsheim
Dorsheim is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Langenlonsheim.
Geographical location
Dorsheim located in Trollbachtal, west of the Nahe, shortly before its confluence with the Rhine. To the south, Bad Kreuznach, in the north of Bingen am Rhein.
History
The place was first mentioned on 30 March 1349. He belonged to the French Revolution to Electoral Palatinate. 1796-1814 he was French ( Rhin -et -Moselle ), in 1815 belonged to Prussia Dorsheim.

Parish council
The local council in Dorsheim consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman location. The twelve seats in the municipal council are divided into two groups of voters. In the previous election in 2004, a majority vote was held.

Dorsheim part of the " Nahe wine-growing area " in the Nahe region. In the resort seven wineries operate, the area under vines is 71 hectares. About 83 % of the cultivated wine are white wine varietals ( 2007). In 1979, 24 companies were still active, the former vineyard of 80 hectares was only slightly larger.
