Geography

Dorst is located about eight kilometers east of Calvörde on the edge of the Natural Park Colbitz - Letzlinger Heath. Neighboring towns are in the north and Klüden Zobbenitz. In the north of the village lies the Dorster forest.

History

Historically Dorst is connected to Calvörde and belonged to the enclave of the Principality of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel. 1311 Dorst was (also Dositz, Dostiz and Dostet ) mentioned for the first time and formed with Uthmöden, Zobbenitz and today some wild places the half court.
