The Bahnhof Dortmund- Kurl located in the homonymous district Kurl on the railway route Dortmund -Hamm and is from RE3 (Rhein- Emscher- Express ) and the RE11 (Rhein- Hellweg - Express ) is approached; the early morning and in the evening moves the RE1 (NRW - Express ) to the train station. From here, there are travel opportunities to the Ruhr, Hamm, Dusseldorf, Cologne and Aachen. The track systems consist of two platform tracks an overhaul to track dodging by moving long-distance trains as well as one without platforms freight track, which is no longer used.

History

In the first years of 1847 went into operation in Cologne - Minden railway was just a simple breakpoint in Kurl. The ticket sale was " Zur Mühle " performed at the nearby restaurant. Built in 1855 colliery Kurl received a siding at Kurl station.

On April 1, 1886, the first fixed station building was erected, which is on the south side of the railway line and still exists as a private residence. Even the former Bahnwärterhaus is inhabited.

1908, a new station building was erected on the north side of the railway tracks, which now serves only as a passage to the tracks.

The station is registered as a historic landmark in the list of monuments of the city of Dortmund.
