Doru Sechelariu

Doru Sirius Sechelariu (born 19 November 1992 Bacău ) is a Romanian racer.

Career

Sechelariu began his motorsport career in 2002 in karting, where he was active until 2005. At age 13, he gave in 2006 at two races in the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 debut in Formula racing and also appeared in 2007 in the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 at. In both seasons, he started for the team of former Formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen. In 2007, he finished with a win sixth in the drivers' standings. He also competed for Raikkonen Robertson Racing in six races of the British Formula BMW.

2008 Sechelariu changed completely in the Formula BMW and entered into the European version, which was formed through the merger of German and English series, for Fortec Motorsport. As best ranking he reached fourth place and finished the season 15th in the championship. He also competed in the American and Pacific Formula BMW and came in two races of the Pacific Championship finish first. In 2009, the Romanian part for different teams at the European Formula BMW and went to every race. At the end of the season, he finished with a third place as best result 14th overall. In addition, he participated for half a season at the European F3 Open and finished at the end of the 16th place in the overall standings.

2010 moved to Sechelariu Tech 1 Racing in the newly founded GP3 Series. At the end of the season, he finished 29th overall. 2011 Sechelariu planned to complete for Tech 1 Racing its second season in the GP3 Series. A month before the start of the season gave the team but another driver trio known as Sechelariu and his management were unable to comply with the contract terms.

Doru Sechelarius Father Dumitru Sechelariu (1958-2013) was from 1996 to 2004 Mayor of Bacau.
