Doug Anakin

Thomas Douglas ( " Doug " ) Anakin ( born November 6, 1930 in Chatham, Ontario) is a former Canadian bobsledders and lugers. He was Olympic champion in 1964 in the four-man event.

Career

Anakin studied at Queen 's University. After that he worked as a sports teacher and worked as a coach in the sports of wrestling, football and skiing operates. At the beginning of the 1960s, the passionate climbers began to be interested in bobsledding. Before the Olympic Winter Games 1964, he joined the Canadian Viererbobteam, which also Victor Emery, John Emery and Peter Kirby belonged.
