Doug Kershaw
Doug Kershaw (actually Douglas James Kershaw, born January 24, 1936 in Louisiana) is an American Cajun Fiddle player. He is known as The Ragin ' Cajun.
His performances are characterized by his extroverted nature. Doug Kershaw is able to simultaneously play the violin ( since the age of five ), to sing and dance. Among his greatest achievements include Louisiana Man, and Diggy Lo Liggy by Buck Owens.
In 1969 he joined the first time on June 7 in the Johnny Cash show on what brought him much attention and a contract with Warner Brothers / Seven Arts. Two months later, the autobiographical song from Louisiana Man was the first piece of music that was broadcast 12 mission from the Moon to Earth by the Apollo astronauts.
