Dougal Dixon

Dougal Dixon ( born May 9, 1947 in Dumfries, Scotland ) is a British paleontologist and evolutionary biologist.

Life

Dixon studied geology and paleontology at the University of St Andrews. Since 1973, he successfully published nonfiction from his research area. In 1982, he creates that work that makes him famous: In After You (Eng. The world according to us ), he presents a world that is 50 million years in the future. Nature could recover from the extinct people and the destruction that he brought and new species have evolved. The book was created as an overview of the theory of evolution and introduced different methods of evolution. The book was so successful that other works followed. In The New Dinosaurs he developed a world in which the dinosaurs never died and in Man Man after he introduces the idea of a future fragmentation of people in a variety of ways.
