Doumeira is a less than one square kilometer, managed by Djibouti island near the Bab al - Mandab in the Red Sea. Along with the 250 meters eastern, much smaller island Kallîda it forms the Doumeira Islands. Together with the 500 meters south-west to Cape Ras Doumeira with hills on the mainland, the island is since Eritrea's independence from Ethiopia in 1993 the subject of a border conflict between Eritrea and Djibouti.

The island is part of the point of view of Djibouti to the district Alaïli Dadda Obock region and forms the northernmost part of the country.
