Douro (Subregion)
Douro is a statistical subregion of Portugal. It is part of the Região Norte, and is made up of circles of the districts of Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu and Guarda together. In the north, bordering the subregion Alto Trás -os- Montes, in the east of Spain, in the south of Beira Interior Norte and Dão Lafões and west Tamego to Douro.
Area: 4112 km ². Population (2001): 221 853.
