BWf1

The Doyle 's Delight is with 1124 m the highest mountain in Central America, Belize.

For a long time held the Victoria Peak for the highest point in Belize, however, recent measurements show that the Doyle 's Delight is higher by four meters. Just like the Victoria Peak Doyle 's Delight is located in the Maya Mountains on the border of the two provinces of Toledo and Cayo.

The name Doyle 's Delight was only created in 1989, when the expedition director Sharon Matola a book by Arthur Conan Doyle The Lost World of 1912 was reading that the quote " there must be something wild and wonderful in a country: such as this, and we're the men to find it out " contained and Matola joined this quote with the mountain. The name is now widely accepted and has also been adopted by the Belizean government.
