Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein

Paul Doyle Caiafa ( born September 15, 1964 in Lodi, New Jersey ), also known Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein is an American rock musician who was known primarily for his work as guitarist for the horror punk band Misfits.

Career

Caiafa came in 1979 to two years earlier founded Misfits, played his first official appearance but only on Halloween 1980, and at that time was just 16 years old. Unlike many other times involved in the band musicians he kept his place for many years. After the Misfits with Glenn Danzig had separated in 1983, he founded together with his brother Jerry Only the band Kryst the Conqueror, with whom he recorded one album, which was, however, never officially released. Some songs which were instead brought out in 1989 to a Deliver Us From Evil -titled EP. In 1995, the band broke up again, at the same time the Misfits were revived with a new cast. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, however Caiafa got out. In a later interview he called out as a reason that lacked the numerous member changes in the band, the necessary cohesion and identification. In an interview with the magazine Kin Kats he said in 2009: "There was no band structure and no singer. And there is still no singer or new material. That was not what I wanted. I wanted a new band with their own material, no cover band. But someone saw it differently. "

Since 2005 he is working on his own band project Gorgeous Frankenstein. In the same year he participated as a guest on the tour the band Danzig of his former colleagues Misfits Glenn Danzig.
