Dozer

Dozer is a stoner rock band from Sweden.

History

Dozer was founded in 1995 in the Swedish town of Borlänge, where the band first appeared in local youth clubs and took the opportunity to play as the opening act for already known bands.

In 1998, the band released together with their American colleagues genre Unida, the split EP Coming Down the Mountain, which appeared on the label Meteor City.

Thereafter, to secure during the test itself a record deal, a demo tape to Man 's Ruin Records ( an influential at this time stoner rock label) transmitted. Frank Kozik, the boss of the record company, was impressed and immediately found killed on the band, which they produced in 2000, their first album In the Tail of a Comet for about $ 500. Despite the low production costs, the album was very well received by listeners.

The second album Madre De Dios was released in 2001 on Man's Ruin and as a vinyl version on Molten Universe.

For their third album, the band confided to the Swedish producer Chips Kiesbye, which is also known by the cooperation with the Hellacopters. Call It Conspiracy was released in 2003 on the band's own label Molten Universe and was praised by critics and fans high. At this time turned Dozer also the video for the single Rising.

2005 began recording their fourth studio album, Through the Eyes of Heathens (released on Small Stone Records) in the Seawolf Studios in Helsinki. The album contains the song Until It Exists No More with a guest appearance by Troy Sanders, singer and bassist of the band Mastodon. In early 2006 Lidén left Dozer. He was replaced by Olle Mårthans.

The end of 2008 they released their fifth album Beyond Colossal which a short European tour followed.

Let the band announced that they will pause indefinitely because singer Fredrik Nordin wants to make up his secondary education in 2009. Above the rest of the tape is not known.

Dozer until now had over 300 live performances and toured already with a number bands like Brain Police, Mastodon, Rollins Band, Hellacopters, Spiritual Beggars, Clutch, Unida, Zeke, Nebula and Entombed.
