Dozois Reservoir

The Réservoir Dozois is an artificial lake in the Canadian province of Québec.

It lies entirely within the unorganized territory Réservoir - Dozois and the Réserve faunique La Vérendrye. The reservoir is located about 10 km west of the Réservoir Cabonga and about 15 km east of the Grand lac Victoria. Its tributaries include the Ottawa River and the rivers Chochocouane and Capitachouane. The Route 117 leads directly to the reservoir. The water area is up to 319 km ².

In 1949 the dam Barrage Bourque was built at the Ottawa River. By damming of the Ottawa River and flooding of various lakes in the reservoir Réservoir Dozois was born.
