Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

The Dr. Sun Yat -Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a Chinese garden in the Canadian city of Vancouver. It is located on the Carrall Street in Vancouver's Chinatown and consists of a freely accessible parking and a garden whose visit is chargeable.

For the design of the outer park, the architects Joe Wai and Donald Vaughan was responsible for the interior of the park landscape architect Wang To - Xin and other experts from Suzhou. The financing took over the Canadian and the Chinese government, the Chinese community of Vancouver as well as other public and private donors. The opening took place on 24 April 1986 in time for the World Expo 86

The garden is named after the Chinese revolutionary leader and statesman Sun Yat-sen, who lived several years in Vancouver in exile.
