Dr. Web

Doctor Web, Ltd.. (Russian Доктор Веб ) is a supplier of self-developed IT security solutions and managed security services for IT providers. The antivirus software Dr. Web developed since 1992 by company founder Igor Danilov (* 1964).

The company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Moscow. Its development department as well as the in-house anti- virus labs located in St. Petersburg. In addition to subsidiaries in France, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Japan and China, the company is also represented in Germany by Doctor Web Germany GmbH with its headquarters in Hanau.

Dr.Web anti-virus software

Dr. Web Anti -virus software is available on various platforms, and are useful for solutions in heterogeneous IT environments.

The product range is divided mainly into divisions for private and business customers:

• For private customers, Doctor Web offers antivirus software for workstations and mobile devices.
• For business customers, the product range includes anti -virus software for Workstations and mobile devices,
• File and Terminal Server and
• E -mail and proxy servers that can be deployed and managed via a web- based administration panel.

Since 2009, Doctor Web opens with the managed security service Dr.Web AV-Desk is another business area: IT, enabling providers to provide their customers with Dr.Web anti-virus software in SaaS model based on subscription. Clients of Dr.Web AV-Desk is now the world at about 1.3 million computers installed (as of March 10, 2014 ).

For acute rescue Doctor Web also provides tools that can be found on individual computers or entire networks and viruses can be eliminated. Other utility programs ( eg, to decrypt files that have been encrypted by Trojans ) are free downloadable from the website.
