Drahtzug Stein

Drahtzug Stein (own spelling: DRAHTZUG STONE ) is an internationally operating group of companies from ten united under the umbrella of a holding part company. The holding company has its headquarters in Altleiningen in Rhineland-Palatinate district of Bad Durkheim. The parent company is located in the northeastern Palatinate Forest.

History

In 1423 was begun in Altleininger valley to the mining of copper and iron ore. Johann Nicholas II Gienanth leased in 1729 an iron melt of the Counts of Leiningen. In 1811, Napoleon Bonaparte gave permission for the construction of a drawing block in Altleiningen, this was in 1860 in the possession of a family Kuhn. 1941 took over Georg Stein wire drawing, included its production at this time pins and chains.

In 1948, we expanded the range of products and procured new machines. Nine years later, in 1957, the company started with the production of wire products. In 1973, the company established its first subsidiary in France Drahtzug stone saprofil ( Société de Produits en Sablase Fil de Fer ). This company is located in Olonne -sur -Mer on the Atlantic coast. It was equipped with modern production facilities to the French market leader in galvanized and plastic-coated wire products for the home appliance industry. Newer development

The company acquired a stake in the company in 2000 Califil in France. The Drahtwarenfabrik Drahtzug Stein GmbH & Co. KG was converted into a holding company in 2001.

In 2003 the wire drawing stone mbH was established. The following year, in Lodz (Poland ), the company DSWI spzoo (now Drahtzug stone lodz ) founded as a joint venture with the company Wire Industries. Drahtzug Stein followed with these measures, the relocation of production to Eastern Europe, the home appliance industry. The production plant in Lodz was recorded in 2005. The number of employees at the main plant Altleiningen increased from initially eight co-workers ( 1941) to 545 (2008); 2009 was a recession-related decline recorded at 517. In 2009, the entire group of companies 1331 employees; In 2008 the figure was 1375.
