Drais

Drais is a local district of the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital Mainz.

It has around 3,100 inhabitants and 308 acres of local area of ​​the smallest local district of the city. Drais was incorporated in 1969 along with five other suburbs as new district. History

The earliest traces of human settlement go back to the Hallstatt period ( 850-450 BC). Jesuitenhof

The former cloister of the Provost Hirzenach Drais in 1670 went into the possession of the Jesuit order, who settled in Drais.
