Dramatic programming

TV drama is a loan translation of the English word television drama. There, this term describes a form of drama that is shown on television. Here, a television drama both a single movie described as a television series and thus largely corresponds to the recently uncustomary German word teleplay. The fact that American television drama usually reach the German television market in series, means that most genres are summarized by the term television series.

In Japanese, is calque terebi dorama, the drama term is used here in its original broad meaning.
