In the Samtgemeinde Dransfeld from the Lower Saxony Göttingen district, the communities Bühren, Jühnde, Niemetal and Scheden and the city Dransfeld have joined forces to do their administrative business. The administrative headquarters of the velvet municipality is in town Dransfeld.
