Dražen Mužinić

Dražen Mužinić ( born January 25, 1953 in Split, SFR Yugoslavia, now Croatia), nicknamed Frfa, is a former Yugoslav football player.

The defensive midfielder is part of the so-called " golden generation " of the 1970s the club Hajduk Split. He was particularly known for his great fighting spirit.

Today Mužinić has worked for several years as a scout for Hajduk Split.

Career

Association

Already as a teenager Mužinić was first used by Hajduk Split in the Croatian first league: In the season 1969/70 he completed twelve games and scored two goals. In the following years he won four Yugoslav championship with Hajduk and was five times cup winners.

From 1980 to 1982 he played for Norwich City in England.

National

In the Yugoslav national Dražen Mužinić was first used on April 17, 1974 game against the USSR. He completed each two matches for the World Cup 1974 in Germany and the European Football Championship 1976 in Yugoslavia. Overall, the midfielder completed 32 caps for Yugoslavia, scoring one goal.
