History

The station was built in 1898 by the Nordhausen - Wernigerode Railway Company after completion of the Harz Railway and initially carried the name Spruce signal, then signal spruce - Hohne. After October 1901, a storm knocked the signal spruce, the two existing place names in the area were united in the name of the station.

For the rail link to Elbingerode to standard gauge was on 1 May 1907 its own railway station, the "lower station " south of the resin cross station. It was built by the Halberstadt - Blankenburg Railway. By an underpass for pedestrians both stations were interconnected. This line was closed on 1 December 1965. The remaining embankment is in parts as bike path. Both stations were on Elbingeröder area until 1947. Railway track and stations were replaced with the belonging to Wernigerode forest settlement Büchenberg. The "lower station " expires since the track closure, after it was still used for some time as Mitropa restaurant.

In the year of the Bahnhofsbaues Harzquerbahn originated north towards a place that the name " Becker's Hotel " was up for sale in 1940. After 1945, it took the Home Office in possession. After the turn it's back in private hands and is now called " The Kräuterhof ".

The name of the station later went on the surrounding small settlement on Drei Annen Hohne.
