At the beginning of the side valley 250 meters above the Sarcatales lies the ruins of Drena, which belonged to the counts was to Arco to 1981 and since then the community property. The village belonged to the end of the First World War for the judicial district of Arco and Riva was part of the district.

Below the castle is the Canyon di Drena, a narrow rocky valley in which runs past the escape route from the castle and now a via ferrata.

Partner community of Drena is since 1989 the Upper Franconian municipality Hallersdorf. Reason for the partnership were numerous visits to individual families from Hallersdorf in Drena.
