The nuclear power plant in Dresden (English Dresden Nuclear Power Plant ) is a nuclear power plant with three boiling water reactors. The nuclear power plant is located in Morris in the U.S. state of Illinois.

History

The construction of the power plant started on 1 May 1956. The operation took over the plant on April 15, 1960. Block 1 was until then the only reactor of the power plant. In 1966 it was decided to build two more blocks. This should block 1, the 1978 should go off the grid to replace. On April 13, 1970 took 2 block its operation. Shortly thereafter took part in the July 22, 1971 Block 3 starts running. 1978, went the first block from the mains. The reactors 2 and 3 are expected to remain until 2029 and 2031 into operation. Built by three reactors from General Electric.
