Dreux-Louvilliers Air Base

Nostradamus (French nouveau système trans- horizon décamétrique appliquant les méthodes utilisées s Studio) is a French military over the horizon radar.

The facility is located on the former air force base Dreux - Louvilliers Air Base of the United States Air Forces in Europe in the Eure -et -Loir.

The system was developed by ONERA and operated by the Armée de l'air. Nostradamus transmits on shortwave with a pulse repetition time of 30 milliseconds. The antenna array consists of 288 seven -meter biconical antennas that are placed in a star-shaped structure with three each about 400 meters long by 120 degrees staggered rows.
