Dries Holten

Dries Holten ( born January 30, 1936 in Cimahi, Indonesia) is a Dutch singer and lyricist.

From 1966 to 1975 he formed together with Sandra Reemer the singing duo Sandra & Andres. Together they participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest 1972 in Edinburgh for the Netherlands. When you hit het om de liefde gaat reached the fourth place. From 1975 to 1977 he trained with Rosy Perreira, a new group under the name Rosy & Andres. Among his stage name Andre or Andy Wood, he published also solo pieces, including Western pop versions of Indonesian songs.

Also known as text author Holten was active: he wrote the text for again and again on Sunday the German pop duo Cindy & Bert from the year 1973.
