Driss Jettou

Driss Jettou (Arabic إدريس جطو, DMG Idris Ǧaṭṭū; born May 24, 1945 in El Jadida, Morocco) was Prime Minister of Morocco from 2002 to 2007. Jettou belongs to no party, which led to resentment among the two major parties in Morocco, the Union Socialiste des forces populaires ( USFP ) and the nationalist conservative Istiqlal party. The USFP and the Party Istiqal presented most of the ministers within the government coalition, which consists of six parties. Jettou was before the 2002 election already interior minister and leading role in the implementation of this choice. Life
