Dříteň

Dříteň ( German Zirnau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 21 km north-west of České Budějovice and belongs to České Budějovice.

History

The first mention of Dříteň dates from the year 1432. Pending the lifting of patrimonial regimes in 1850 the place belonged as property rule to the rule Hluboká. During the Thirty Years' War, the Battle of Sablat took place between Záblatí and Záblatíčko on June 10, 1619. Under Johann Adolf of Schwarzenberg was 1669-1674 by Antonio de Maggi the reconstruction of the fortress to the castle. 1691 Church of St. Dismas, which is a branch church of Bila Hurka arose. The community was in 1850 part of the district Ceske Budejovice.
