Driver's license

A driver's license or a driver's license is an official document that brings a presence of a license to drive certain vehicles on public transport ground to express.

General, History

The license has a more than 100-year history. The concept of a driving license - as well as driver's license - has been around since 1888 ( Prussia). Occasionally, a certificate issued to the automotive pioneer and steam machine designer Léon Serpollet in July 1888 the permission of the city of Paris is known for driving on the public roads as the first " license " in the world. The approximately 110 different models of driving licenses within the European Economic Area (EEA) have been replaced since 19 January 2013 under current EU law by the single European driving license in credit card format. Old driving licenses have transition periods; the Member States of the EEA, however, must ensure that fulfill until January 19, 2033, all issued and outstanding licenses all the requirements of the current European directive on driving licenses.

International driver's license

The International Driving Licence ( also: International driving license) is a temporary world and valid supporting document for national driving license, it is, however, only relatively rarely needed.
