Drizzlecombe

The complex of Drizzlecombe (or Thrushelcombe ) is located in the Cornish Dartmoor in Devon, England, on the western side of the moor about 6.5 km east of the village of Yelverton, close to the upper reaches of the River Plym, which flows at Plymouth.

The largest stone circle consists of 13 low stones and has ten meters in diameter. From him comes from a 90 m long stone row. It ends near the " Giant's Basin ", a large cairn of 21.6 m in diameter and three meters high with an adjacent menhir. The 4.3 m high is the highest menhir on Dartmoor. A second run approximately parallel stone row, the highest menhir measures 3.2 m, 150 m long. My twelve partially verstürzten stones existing circle 8.8 m in diameter. The third row of blocks is 150 m long. Their once high stone with 2.4 m length is on the ground. The associated circle of nine stones has about nine feet in diameter. The high menhirs mark the end of the series. They probably originate from Hartor tor. The stones within the ranks are mostly less than 0.5 m.
