Drooling

Drooling (also sialorrhoea or ptyalism ) the medical term is, for abzuschlucken saliva salivating due to increased saliva production or inability. Saliva flow is at rest in the Sialometrie > 1 ml / min, stimulated > 3.5 ml / min.

The opposite of the hypersalivation is hyposalivation, when there is an insufficient flow of saliva.
