Drosera linearis is a carnivorous plant in the genus Sundew ( Drosera ).

Description

Drosera linearis is a perennial, herbaceous plant in the winter they retreat into a Hibernakel.

The 2-5 cm long, upright stems are hairless and flattened and go to 3.5 to 6 mm long and 2 mm wide, Leaf blades about linealische. In English, the type is therefore called " linear -leaved Sundew ". The one to two smooth inflorescences reach a height 5-12 cm and carry up to eight flowers per inflorescence. These sit at 0.5 to 2 mm long pedicles.

The flowers are fünfzählig and large in diameter up to a centimeter. The oblong- elliptic sepals are 4-5 mm long and about 1.5 mm wide. The reverse- egg-shaped petals are white, occasionally pale pink at the tips. They are up to 6 mm long and 3-4 mm wide. The flowers have three each 2 millimeters long pen, orange anthers and pollen. The black seeds are oblong to inversely egg-shaped.

Dissemination

Drosera linearis is Drosera filiformis next to the only Sonnentauart that is distributed solely on the North American continent. Your deposits stretching from Minnesota through its main distribution area in the Great Lakes region and the extreme northeast of the United States (Maine) to Canada (Ontario, southern Quebec, Newfoundland).

She appreciates open, wet locations and often grows in company with the Rundblättrigem sundew and the Langblättrigem sundew.
