Drosera spatulata is a species in the genus Sonnentaue and in 1904 was described by Jacques Julien Houtton de La Billardière for the first time.

Description

A flat basal rosette with a diameter of about 5 cm and spatula-shaped leaves are distinguished from the appearance of this carnivorous plant. It is quite variable in appearance and exists in various sub-species, so that it is determined incorrectly. The pink flower grows on a 20 -inch-long flower stems.

Dissemination

The plant is widespread - from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Southeast China on Borneo, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines to Southeast Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand and Micronesia. Drosera spatulata with respect to the climate is fairly undemanding - it comes from the temperate climate over the subtropical to tropical climate before.

Propagation

The plant grows very quickly - from the germinating seed to full-grown, flowering plant often goes by only half a year.
