Geography

Drubeck situated at an altitude of 258 m above sea level. Sea level at the northern edge of the Harz between Darlingerode the east and Bracknell ( resin ) in the west. South of the village is Öhrenfeld.

History

The origin Drübecks goes back to a Benedictine monastery, was its first documentary mention in 960 by Emperor Otto I.. Main and patron of the monastery Drubeck was the Holy Vitus ( Veit ). In the 10th century Romanesque monastery church was built, which is now regarded as widely known monument of Romanesque architecture and is part of the Romantic Road.
