Drum rudiment

Rudiments are elementary exercises for the game on the snare drum. They are practiced to promote technical skills of the drummer.

Sanford A. Moeller they turned out for the first time in his textbook. The National Association of Rudimental Drummers ( NARD ) has established in the 1950s, 26 exercises as " American Standard Rudiments ." They mainly serve the game in military music, but some popular characters like " Long Roll" ( vortices), Paradiddle or mill, could also prevail in modern rock, pop and fusion music.
