Drum Workshop

Drum Workshop (DW, DW Drums ) is an American manufacturer of high quality drum kits and accessories.

History

DW is in relation to other drumset manufacturers a young company. Opened in 1972, Don Lombardi, a 140 -square-foot teaching studio and called it " The Drum Workshop". Two years later, Lombardi began with his student John Good, establish the first hardware whose development took some time to complete. After buying the company Camco Drum Co. in 1977, which until then relatively unknown drum company "DW" developed more and more hardware, including Pedals for the bass drum and drum seats. She changed, after moving into a 230 -square-foot building, the company direction from the drum training to the production of drum sets.

1979 Drum Workshop was through advertisements in the magazine Modern Drummer, the company soon known. From 1980 until today developed DW always more hardware and high quality drum sets that are produced according to customer requirements of a wide range of woods and metals.

Today, DW is regarded as one of the noblest, but also the most expensive drums brands. Very popular is the already long existing Collector Series, which is still produced. This series gives the customer not only the possibility, type of wood and color of the hardware to the boilers, but also kind of paint whose color or a " foliation " select. The most popular is the hardware, especially the pedals for the bass drum.
