Action
Devon Miles is a talented musician and so he gets a scholarship to the University in Atlanta. Despite his talent, he comes with the leader of the band in conflict because he does not want to play by the rules themselves. Furthermore, he can not read music, so he is no longer allowed to play in public appearances. Therefore Devon rips together, learn to read music, explains his problems with others and helps to win the upcoming competition.
Summary
The film Drumline revolves around the gifted snare drummer, Devon Miles ( Nick Cannon) who receives a scholarship, with the help of which he. Onto a music school to Atlanta A & T University, changes Devon is bothered by the fact that the newcomers have to get up very early in the morning and get drilled military. Devon therefore often turns against the group and not learning what he should. An unofficial school rule states that deviants get shaved bald. At university, there are not only musicians but also dancers, such as Laila, in which Devon in love and makes an effort to get together with her. After some time, Devon is so good that he wants to prove Shawn Taylor, the drum teacher. He moves up to the highest class musicians and displays his abilities in a prominent opportunity to prove by the soloist plays to perfect the first major appearance. As Devon plays again at the second appearance his solo part because of the success it has done all he gets into a brawl with the drum soloist of the competing band, so he is excluded from the band. Now, however, have focused on the big music festival closer. Actually Devon should not play. But when his band with outstanding performances coming into the final, which can only be mastered with drums. Devon as the undisputed best player denies this Part in the finale of the film the A & T wins University and Devon is resumed in the master class P1. That also convinced Laila's parents.
