Drunk Driving is an American short film from the year 1939. It was produced by Jack Chertok, directed by David Miller in the film series Crime Does Not Pay in black and white. The U.S. premiere took place on 28 October 1939.

Action

The film addresses the issue of alcohol and traffic based on a true story retold by history. John Jones regularly drinks. One day he celebrates a promotion with colleagues. When he sits down to drunk driving, he caused an accident on the way home.

Background

The film was produced in the series Crime Does Not Pay episode 25. The series presented various crimes or offenses, their enlightenment and the subsequent punishment of perpetrators dar. Metro -Goldwyn -Mayer produced 1935-1947 about 50 episodes. The production of the series was a result of the massive criticism of various groups in the violence and crime glorifying Hollywood films of the 1920s and 1930s.
