Drużno

Truso, Elblag Canal

The Drużno (since 1949 Poln. Druzno ) is a lake in Poland. It is 9.7 km long and 2.0 km wide.

The lake is relatively shallow with an average depth of three meters. Its expansion was significantly greater in earlier centuries, but over time the lake land was reclaimed. End of the 19th century was when the lake on the border of East and West Prussia, its extension were given ten miles long and four miles wide.

By the lake leading shipping and canoe - lines, some of which are excellent because of the strong weeds of the water with navaids. Among them is also the line of Elbing ( Elbląg Pol. ) by the Elblag Canal to Małdyty (Polish Maldyty ).

The commercial town Truso lay on the shore of Lake Draus, when he was still part of the Vistula Lagoon.
