Duarte Ferreira

Duarte Ferreira ( born November 1, 1992) is an Angolan racing driver. In 2011 he went to the Indy Lights at the start.

Career

Ferreira began his motorsport career in 1999 in the Belgian Karting and remained active until 2005 in this sport. From 2006 to 2009 Ferreira participated in racing driving schools and graduated from test drives in cars of Formula Renault 1.6 and 2.0. 2010 Ferreira moved into formula racing and competed for several teams in the South American Formula 3 Championship. He won five times the B- rating and finished the season in third place this rating. His best overall rankings were three third places.

2011 Ferreira went for Bryan Herta Autosport in the North American Indy Lights at the start. With a third place as best result he was on the end of the season in eighth place overall.

Ferreira was born in Portugal and grew up in Belgium.
