Dubai-Marathon

The Dubai Marathon (official name Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon to the main sponsor, Standard Chartered Bank ) is the only marathon in the United Arab Emirates. He has been held since 2000 in January in Dubai and is the 2008 established track records of the seventh fastest marathon worldwide (as of January 2008). The competition also includes a 10 - km run.

Start and finish the runs are at Zabeel Park. During the course of the 10-km race consists of two laps on the 2nd Zabeel Road, it goes for the marathon runners at first to the coast of the Persian Gulf, which is reached after about 5 km. Along the beach of Jumeirah, the price now runs straight until just past the Wild Wadi Water Park, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Burj al Arab the turning point at the Madinat Jumeirah is achieved.
