Dublin Death Patrol

Dublin Death Patrol ( DDP) is an American thrash metal band that was founded in 2006 by Testament singer Chuck Billy and former Legacy (initial name of Testament) and Exodus vocalist Steve Souza.

History

The band was initially siebenköpfig and existed alongside the singers Souza and Chuck Billy, from Chuck's brother Andy Billy, Greg Bustamante and Steve Robello to the electric guitar, bassist Willy Lange and drummer Dan Cunningham. During the recording of the debut album in 2007, three more members were added: Troy Luccketta as a drummer, Steve Souza's brother John Souza on bass and guitarist Phil Demmel. After the album was completed, came bassist Eddie Billy, also brother of Chuck Billy, added as the eleventh member.

After the album was released, followed by a few local gigs, the band set consisted of eight members: Chuck Billy and Steve Souza on vocals, Willy Lange as bassist, Andy Billy, Steve Robello, Greg Bustamante and John Hartsinck on guitars, and Danny Cunningham on drums.

For trips to the release of the album also could not all members participate, so that the group next to Chuck Billy and Souza, from bassist John Souza, drummer Dan Cunningham, guitarist Andy Billy and Greg Bustamante, as well as a special guest guitarist John Hartsinck existed. A short time later, John Hartsinck Phil Demmels should take place (although it looks more as if he took Steve Robellos place and purpose of this Demmels items).

In 2011, the band performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting.

The debut album DDP 4 Life In 2007 and 2012 the next album Death Sentence: So far the band via Mascot Records released two albums.

Style

The band plays classic thrash metal, reminiscent of the old works of Testament and Exodus.
