It is a road-going replica of the factory MotoGP Desmosedici GP machine.
Technology
Landing gear
The chassis is derived from the the 2006 MotoGP machine and consists of a hybrid trellis frame, a pressurized Ohlins upside- down fork type FG353 PFF with titanium nitride - coated 43 -mm slide tubes, a massive swing arm with Ohlins Monoshock. Front fork and rear legs are fully adjustable compression damping of the shock absorber even separately for high- and low-speed range. Forged rims come from the renowned Italian manufacturer Marchesini ( Brembo ) and made of a lightweight magnesium alloy. The specially developed for the Desmosedici RR tire Battlax BT -01 are from the company Bridgestone. As with racing motorcycles default, the machine has no separate rear frame but a self-supporting monocoque made of carbon fiber composite.
Engine / transmission
The engine is a 90 ° V four-cylinder engine with 989 cc displacement, 2 overhead, driven by gears, camshafts per cylinder bank, four desmodromic valves actuated titanium and electronic fuel injection. The asymmetrical Twin Pulse -called firing sequence was also acquired by the Desmosedici GP. The power is transmitted via a slipper dry clutch and a 6 speed cassette gearbox to the rear wheel.
The full output of over 147 kW (200 PS ) reaches the Desmosedici RR with only a non- street-legal, up to 102 dB ( A) loud, racing exhaust system and a control device adapted it.
